I got a 94 Toyota extcab pickup came across these 16" Dodge Caravan Wheels 1996 1997 Factory Stock Town & Country wheels online the design is like a snowflake mesh I think they will go with my build im doing I know the bolt pattens are the same but not sure about the hubs.. Anyone used these or checked them out ..... got any pics .. ect..

 

If the hub is smaller, have a machine shop bore them out. The only down side is they charge $$. I was gonna have my jeep mesh bore and they wanted 40 a piece.

 

I was thinking I would have too... I had to bore my eskees to fit my Nissan.. I got a guy who bores them on a CNC for $20 a wheel... might have to do it again for this build.. Anyone know of any Factory wheels that will just bolt right up with out bores or spacers ???? (besides Mitsubishi Starion/Chrysler Conquest wheels)

 

How about 93-96 Mercury Grand Marquis / Crown Vic mesh wheels ?? anyone?

 

I had the crown victoria before. The center bore is slightly larger. I think it was around 71mm. The only problem is you have to put new stud in because there isn't enongh thread to screw the lug on. After I calculate the cost of having them bored out and putting in longer stud, it's just not worth it. Getting new rims is easier. If not for that I would have crown victoria on. My jeep silver mesh is going too.

 

this is a first ive heard of anyone needed new studs for running the crown vic wheels. everyone else i know of was able to bolt em on and go without any issue what so ever. are you sure your studs werent modified by a previous owner or that the wheel sat 100% flush?

 

The crown vic mesh wheels fit no problem for me.... you just need aftermarket lug nuts to properly seat in the wheel.

If you try to use your stock lug nuts, they wont seat all the way. And the stock crown vic lug nuts are the wrong thread pitch.

They look awesome, but I like the no frills, low profile look of steelies, so if I get my hands on some 17's I'll make the switch

 

Ok , How about the Ford Explorer Limited Mesh wheels .. I can get a good deal on those and Clearance Issues or bore issues on those? anyone tried them so far? they look good...

 

I know this is kinda "redneck" and may be more time consuming than its worth. I wanted to "bore out" the drink holder to fit a regular bottle of soda, so I bought one of these:

4" Engine Cylinder Hone

Taped the top of the stones to they're arms to make the stones stay in one place and not flop around and used it to make the holes of the cup holder bigger. I don't see why this set up wouldn't work to make the center holes of wheels bigger, with the addition of some cutting fluid or good 'ol WD40.
Like I said, I have no idea how long it would take to cut aluminum, but it might be worth a try.

Factory lugs only screw in about .5 inch. Don't know how you all can get different lugs to work,but let me know which or how cause I would like to put my jeep mesh on. That way I don't have to buy new rims.
