hey everyone, this is my 95 Toyota. I traded my bodied blazer for it. At the time i traded it my blazer ran and was driveable, the yota was not driving or running, but came in on a trailer with boxes of parts lol. Some of my friends thought i was a major dummy for doing this trade, but i had my reasons and even though the rebuild is taking longer than i originally wanted to, im learning alot about the truck even as i get stuck on some parts. The first pic is what the truck looked like back in the day primered tan. This was at the first Tex Mex show i believe and at this time my truck was the white sonoma in the back and the Toyota belonged to a buddy of mine named Erin. The rest of the pictures are me and my buddy ryan putting the motor together(it had jumped time and messed up some valves and springs up), and when the motor was dropped in and pics of the paint and wheels. hope you guys like, i still got a ways to go, its hard for me to put a motor together that has came in pieces and i know nothing about lol but its geting there.
thank you guys. The paint is Synergy Green from the newer body camaros, and the painter who painted it also painted my car.
Thanks, yeah the previous owner who was building it chose the color. I like it alot too, especially when the light hits it, oh man its niiiicee haha.
Well this weekend got some more work done on the truck. Got the clutch, trans, drive shaft, and trans crossmember in. Also got the floor cut to clear the trans and driveshaft. Its coming along
yes for the interior I have two seats with no headrests, covered in leather with black suede inserts. Im covering the door panels in black suede and leaving the top metal exposed on the door thats painted the same color as the truck. Then eventually I have a center console out of a grand prix im going to cut up and use as a base for my center console. Ill post pics of all that stuff too
Sounds like a nice setup. I used to have a 92. Getting ready to build another one for a friend. Been taking lots of styling cues and ideas. Console should be sweet. Mine started as a 98 s10 console. Only using the back half, and that's cut down in height and all smoothed out.
Nice! yeah for my first one its definitley a one step at a time for me, but hopefully within a few more months it'll be on the road, then i can do any tweaking or finishing small things up. Yeah i hope to have this one cut up and painted soon
haha yeah man, this cold weather and all the other bs ive been hit with dont help it either! if i get mine done before yours im definitly coming to TX
