So i have the fuel rail torqed down to where it needs to be and it seems like my injectors have a little play in them. I always inagined that they should be in there tight?... When i turn it overbit shoots fuel out the back or one and two? Has this happened to anyone else?...

 

They should not have play.Check your o-rings on the injectors.they should pop down in there like spark plug boots.Also make sure all your banjo bolts have that copper o-ring on them.They are easy to loose and hard to replace.

 

I think you should try to pin point exactly where the fuel is squirting from first.

 

When properly installed the fuel injectors can be rotated rather easily by hand...out the back is a vague description.

 

The back i meant the side that goes into the fuel rail sorry. And i got it fixed it was bad o rings. Another question i had is theres four sensors on top of the valve cover, they have some vacuum lines running to them. Im missing the sensor closest to the front of the car. Can you tell me what its purpose is and the affects of not having it. My trucks idle is all over the place and im wondering if that could be the cause...

 

yes that could be one cause of your idle issues.Take a picture so we know which one you are talking about.Here's a reference pic
This is a 92 so yours could be slightly different.

 

That pictures perfect. If you follow the letters on the valve cover, after toyo you come to the metal plate. That first grey plug is whats missing. Any idea what thats for? Ive been using a haynes manuel and i wish i could get my money back to say the least lmao

 

grey plug:AC fast idle.If no ac you dont need it just at the manifold(just below the big black screw with the spring)route the vacuume line back to itself like a U.

Ok so my assumption came down to, all hoses are connected an ok looking, when my ar starts up at high idle its fine then wen it warms up it tries to down idle and deops way under, i smelt something funny and my ass started getting hot, look under my cab and my catalytic converter is glowing red like glass on a blow torch. Im going to replace the car and im hoping thats the last downfall to my running issues so i can finally start on the looks of my beast...

 

Bad cat will surely throw off the idle. Especially after it warms up and the cat is glowing. Air can't move through obviously, so it gets hot. Hope you figure the issues out.

As for the brass washers, they can be replaced. Often the 100 piece brass washer kit is te best route instead of buying a bunch for the same price.

 

get new o-rings for those injectors yet?
