Hey everyone, I finally decided to join since I found a toyota that I wanted and could afford. I haven't even picked it up yet. I have been trying to be patient and find something here in my town, but haven't had any luck. I finnally told myself that I was willing to travel up to 6 hours one way to find a truck. That would have put me as far as phoenix. I finally found one in Alburquerque about 2 weeks ago on craigs list. I am lucky that I have family there, which is about 4 hours away. The toyota that I found is a yellow 1985 manual single cab. My brother went and inspected the truck for me. So hopefully within about another week or two I will be able to make a trip north to go and pick up my new truck. I currently own a 2000 s-10 Xtreme. I haven't done much to the Xtreme other than a system. That one will be my DD and the toyota will be my project. The pictures that I have from craigs list kinda suck so I will wait till I go get the truck to post pictures. Hopefully I can do some things to it soon as long as the wallet permits.:clapping:

My original plan was to bag my s10 but decided I wanted something older. I just love the look of the old toyotas.

LOL. I think you are completely correct. I have had two toyotas now. My first one was a 1999 taco 4x4 SR5. I loved it.

I know my plans are to eventually bag the truck, but I am still debating a body drop. I am still trying to collect ideas for a possible custom dash. Other than that, I guess I will figure it out on the way. :eyecrazy:

Man once you start a big build project ideas and plans always change through the build! It's what makes if fun and exciting!

That's pretty much why I kept my plans vague. I also plan on suicide doors, but like I said other than that i'll figure it out along the way. I already found out about plans changing when doing a build. The chopper in my avator was my first project that I built from ground up. I have customized a few things but the chopper was my first real build. It took me about 6 months from start to finish. I did everything, I didn't take it to anyone for anything.
