does anyone have pics of their custom hood? i am getting ready to build mine and just want to see what everyone is running on their truck. if someone has done my idea already, im not going to do it. i have a spare hood and was thinking of cutting the hump off of it and spinning it around. that way instead of being high in the front and flat back by windshield, it will have that factory height all the way back. it will be custom, but look factory.
Sounds subtle. I like the idea. Do it up. I've always liked the lines of 2nd and 3rd gen supra hoods. Thought it would look good grafted on.
suncomb, thats a very clean truck. love the louvers. wish i could keep my 4wd that clean. mine is like a dog. as soon as i wash it, with in minutes, its back in the mud, lol.
and truck action, thats what i had in mind. only instead of getting wider towards the rear, mine would go straight back. glad i saw the pic tho. been staring at these hoods for a week and was having a hell of a time picturing what it would look like. this helps. i guess after my wifes leaves for wisconsin tomorrow, i will get started on the hood. have to make my notches and lca, too. thanks for the photos, guys!
DisAsterPiece, the reason truckactions scoop goes wide to the back is because of the factory body lines, a straight cowl scoop wouldn't look right with those hood lines comming out from under it mid way back, you have an 89, the hood I make for yours does have a straight cowl scoop.
