Happen to remember how you fixed the Emission Control Unit on page 1? And how it was bypassed?

I've had problems with it on my '81 and now on my '86....I have "incomplete CA registration" ATM.

I need to get my baby smogged!

I'm not getting power to my choke or idle fuel cut solenoid and who knows what else! I could bypass it, but would rather have it stock...

bypass was just pull the fuse and then run a ignition hot wire to the Carb.
the fix was getting a new unit. and removing the ignition wire and adding the fuse back.

Is that the 7.5 amp charge fuse under the hood?

    Thanks for the reply btw!

And do you know what removing the fuse might compromise?

I'm assuming its removed so that the charge light goes out?

Any ideas on getting no voltage to the auto choke?

Sorry for posting in your project thread man, I'm desperate!

my truck has no check engine light, only fuse is under dash @ drivers kick panel.
for the choke check for a short in the harness. with the fuse pull my truck did not have a working electric choke.

New set of tires got installed at the 4 corners, 225/40R18.

Took the truck to get aligned, front was 1.2,1.7 deg neg camber. zeroed the front out. and fixed the toe it was way off:rolleyes2:

Replaced my spare tire, with this one, it kind of matches the ones that are on the truck now. close match, right:ROFL: can you spot the differences??

The spare is to nice to tuck under the truck so here it is. custom installation.
and clean, now it just needs a new tire. this one will do for now. and i removed the stock tire from the bottom, nothing underneath.

Also have a new tonneau cover
    [IMG]

Up next, find matching Toyota center caps that fit.

I thought with a thread title like "My Silver Toy" it was gonna be something 7" long that vibrates  instead its a slick little truck. I love the rear sway bar install and pics, I think I could make that setup work on my 78 with some frame tabs added on. And I like the hanger mod. I need to see if that will work for me without a notch, my driveline is plunged in all the way and that would pull it back a bit. I don't care about a centered rear wheel lol.

Thanks, we need to get you back in the game! your toy was lower than mine,:drool:

I made the rear sway bar work by drilling into the cross brace that used to hold the spare tire. just made sure not to leave it on the edge, there is about a 1/4" radius of metal from the hole that was drilled for the end link.
this pic shows it, also there is the washers both on top and bottom of the frame.

Horrible thing that happened with the old truck but you bounced back. Can't wait to see more changes.
