Truck's looking good Bernie, love the door loom look, so clean!

I got the Lokar billet handles from Summit and when you pulled the handle it was rubbing on the inside of the knuckle and sticking, had to take it apart and file it down a bit, hope you don't run into this problem, hooking the cable up to the inside lock mech was kind of tediuos. When you cut the cable make sure to put some tape on the end and drip some sauder on the end to keep it from freing after you trim it to fit, very difficult to get in that tiny adjustment hole with a freid end

I'm sure you already know this but just thought I'd throw in my own personal expeience as I am sure it basically the same install process.

Also I used these pulleys I got a Ace for like a few bucks each instead of the ones they sent me, much smoother, saw it on a under construction Nissan a few issues back.

    Hope this helps
    Pete

thanks pete. i do remember you posting about the door handles when you were installing them. i was holding off because of the cable setup lol. but i love the way they look so i decided the hell with it. thanks for posting the info again so i don't have to dig around for it!:headbang:

the billet interior handles replace the rod that is stock with a cable setup since they're supposed to be super universal.

on the avs door pop kit it mounts to the same lever as the interior handle using a small key ring. on the latch side there is 2 cables, one goes to the actuator and the other goes to the stock handle. i'm leaving it unhooked for now until my billet handles show up.

that thing looks nice on the road...

im a lil shocked at how much room it looks like there is inside the cab

have you thought of continuing the lower body line around the back? that panel kinda sticks out as the only smooth one.

cant wait for the bumper :headbang:

thanks ryan. it's pretty tight inside. my head has the most room. but it's not the worst thing i've ever driven lol. no plans for the rear body line. it disappears on the stock bed sides so i wanted it to do the same on this. the taillights help break up the panel a bit.

    thanks!

the truck did pretty good for being a 900 mile trip.

there were some issues. the fuel system gets too hot and starts to vapor lock while in stop and go traffic.

i had stopped in banning ca. to check my fuel issue and forgot to pin the hood down. right as i got back on the i-10 the hood blew up and bent in half. i fixed it pretty well at the hotel. but it needs more work now.

my 40 year old pinion seal took a crap outside of phoenix. in blythe it was pretty messy. by moreno valley it was terrible. changed it in the hotel parking lot and it's good to go now. was a mess to clean up all the oil in the bed and surrounding area.

and about 170 miles from home the drivers rear caliper bolt came out and i lost the pads. i heard a noise and seen sparks but kept going thinking i had caught a rock. as i came off the highway i had terrible brakes. as i got home i had none. easy fix though.

other then those little issues it was a great trip. especially coming home with another garage decoration lol.

Wow dude, really glad to hear you made it back okay after what sounds like one hell of a shakedown run.

Congrats on the First Place, too!

it wasn't too bad. i had brought all the tools i needed except the socket for the pinion. i could see a sears from my hotel window so it was easy to get lol.

yep was amazing even with the issues. would do it again in a heart beat.

lol thats what i did too. sad part is i had a feeling it would eventually happen so i had practiced sitting in the driveway with the hood up

thanks. it wasn't too bad really. i figured it was a perfect trip to work out any kinks.

got some drilled and slotted rotors for the truck. the junkyard supra rotors were super glazed but stopped decent. these fresh ones stop super fast lol.
