well i found a set of stock 16" mustang wheels that i'ma try to get, he wants $350 for the wheels and a set of tires. offset, not sure what size though. he said he'd get me 2 low-pros for the front and 2 for the back that are just a little taller. i told him i wanted 225/60's or 235/55's and probably 235/65 out back

Yeah I'm only running the bumper because like you I feel like the whole swap is overdone, but my theme is stock-ish. Minus the bags and body drop lol

too many people do clip swaps, so i def. want to keep it original. if needed i'll grab a phone book and roll my fenders more, not 4x4 fenders, to fit other tires/wheels

235/65/16 sounds a little big for 3 inch blocks and a mono leaf. If I were you I'd just go with the blocks for now and see how it looks. This is my truck when I had 3 inch blocks with 15x7's and 215/75's

change in plans on those mustang wheels, i don't think i'ma do it. i saw another yota with the same style stang wheels on it, and IMO, it looked like **** so i'ma pass! probably just gonna keep the 14" rims that are on it and repaint them or get the chrome re-finished and ****. and i was thinking about it, you're right. 235/65"s would be way to big to be that low

found a rear view mirror! thank god! found bucket seats(60/40 split from a ford ranger actually) i'ma grab. and i found my front bumper! not going with like a traditional stock bumper or anything, it's a big bulky plastic one off like a nissan pathfinder or something like that. same color as my truck already:waytogo:

ok, so i bought some stickers for the truck, got my "lace up" on coming, just ordered a "be patient, i'm lowered" sticker and another one but i don't remember what it was lol. i ordered a new shortie antenna and i also found some stuff called never dull to clean the chrome on my wheels(works great!!) it's a wadding polish system and i decided i'ma re-paint my wheels once i get them cleaned up. gonna spray them with some bright a$$ red to match my pin stripe!

Did you get some correct aftermarket lights or some cheap ones?

I'm not sure if you want blocks or not, but save that $30-40 and order some blocks from Beefed Taco.

Save the money on the wheels, you'll find some nice other wheels, search the Wichita, OKC, Dallas areas on craigslist.
If not that, hit up a pick n pull or junkyard.

I can talk tires all day if you want.

and hammer those pinch welds in.

If you want 16's, depending on width... this is the max you should safely go with and still be close to factory tire height.

I ran 215/60/16's in the rear. 215/55/16's would be good, so would 225/50/16 and 225/55/16. 235/50/16 and 235/55/16 would be on par.

A 75% sidewall on a 235 for a 16" rim is going to be quite the height and raise your truck in the air. You wouldn't be able to comfortably turn at the drop you're aiming for.

    Use a tire size calculator.

aim for a 25" tire height. I had 205/40/16's and those were TOO small. 24.2" tires, I think. You'll bend a wheel in midwest roads.

If you have some wide 16's, 245/45/16's would be a good fit, for a 16x8/9

i appreciate it man, but i think i'ma just keep the wheels i got with the truck. i cleaned them up and they look HELLA good. i bought the headlights off EBAY and they're the reproduction OE style H4's. i just need lower profile 14" tires!!! it has 205/65R14 all the way around and i rub out front and with how low i want the rear-end i'll need smaller in the back too! how much does dude usually charge for a set of 3" shipped? are they angled for pinion angle correction?!
