    did work..

the stock carb decided it didnt like the way i drive and crapped out.

works fine at WOT but otherwise pukes black smoke, floats stuck or sunk maybe some emissions crap...dont care. [IMG]

for a $5 intake gasket i slapped on a offy dual plane intake, 2in spacer and 32/36. i am not F'n around with the stock carb only a few days from PSTOF. the spare 2 piece weber adapter is F'd, a new one costs $35 and a day. parts lying around FTW.

    so started out like this
    [IMG]

    and 98% complete
    [IMG]

    so much better in here
    [IMG]

because of the carb spacer i needed a spacer for the linkage, think im gonna weld a lil plate in there to hold em together.

just need to block this crap off and im done. this is a quick n dirty block off job. after the show the body comes off and it gets a SC.

Your AAP valve in the stock carb is leaking. You can buy them separate from Japan for around $5.

Not that you need that info now.

Is that the thing on the front pass side of the carb? Didn't have power going to it with the key on.

I'm gonna attempt to strip off the em missions crap and get the carb working on the wagon so I can keep the weber that's on it now, so I'll dig into the carb next week and try for a write up.

The AAP valve has 3 bolts holding the cover on and a vacuum line coming off of it. If you pull the line and smell gas it's the valve leaking.

Not quite sure what you mean...

    @22r

It's not a SR5, urban legend says graphics are regional dealer options.

    thx guys

here is a parts/unique piece list of stuff to watch for

17x8 97ish mustang cobra wheels 245/45/17, 2 of them have marks under the center cap on one lug hole from me removing a wheel lock i lost the key to, the other 2 have camber wear on the inside of the tire

similar "buckle" dents and rolled flat and tugged on both fenders

djm 2in spindles, broken off steering stop in drivers side, no wheel stop on pass (passenger caliper is painted red)

bed has a hole on front passenger side for no reason
    [IMG]

another dent in the rear pass corner, and a big cartoon racing sheep sticker, "I'm dragging my member" lic plate frame
    [IMG]

blue cloth 60/40 bench seat, tear on drivers side bottom with a white towel stuffed in it
    [IMG]

custom made stock throttle linkage spacer
    [IMG]

offenhauser dual plane 22r intake with 2in weber 32/36 adapter/riser. bolts are stripped and stacked with washers on the thermostat and the carb/riser holes have been stripped and used oversized non standard toyota bolts

as it was in the truck
    [IMG]

most carb bolts were tapped out to a 9/16th bolt to mount the spacer, forget the pitch
    [IMG]

painted grey w/ black spots 4in steel drop blocks
    [IMG]

home made front passenger body mount ( whole core support replace from FD corner to the pass fire wall and is gloss black)

flow master muffler welded to a stock 22r manifold w/hanger (muffler has "melted strap stain"...long story)

fairly new gabriel hi-jacker air shocks
    [IMG]

hood has half ass body work and is painted mostly semi gloss black with a big ol primer spot

red top optima with a plastic sticker pouch with the receipt in it on the motor side

here is a link to my build thread for more pics, thank you very much for looking

    Hey there,

Just came across your post and was enjoying it until this..... I'm super sorry to hear it was stolen! You had some really cool plans for it that would have been amazing to see done! Did they ever find the truck?

Yea they found it in another part of seattle. Only thing stolen was the battery, sound system and the air shocks I believe. Looked like they tried to get the wheels too but the wheel locks did their job.

Truck is back with Ryan and running.

thx for the update dale ;)

sorry i dont get here too often, so here is a bit of a recap:

these are pics from where the cops found it. it was as dirty as my wheeler, dont know where they drove it.

as stated above it was only missing my full stereo system, why they took a head unit with a bad display is beyond me... but the only wires in the truck they were cut the amp power/ground so im ok with it, even was able to use em for a new amp.

they also got the rear air shocks, 4 lugs, optima, and all my papers and car wash quarters out of the glove box. they tried to take off my blocks, but thanks to a cheap ass u bolt cross threading they only got it loose :duh:

then i replaced every thing lost, added a alarm... and went back to weekend dd mode

i have a "shuddery bad shock wheel bouncing thing" going on from all 4 wheels from the PO. ive already changed the ball joints, u bolts and complete steering but its still there. so next up is bushings and spring rate.

i put in some new cheapy stock shocks until i find the right front air shock. made some spacers from a 1in block to drop the shock so it wont bottom out, works awesome.

then i took it to "the old school reunion" show, and a very talented photographer made this sticker on my back window come true..

see, look him up on FB
    [IMG]

got ahold of a SR5 cluster and a canopy. truck rides WAY better with some wheight in it. right about now your like where are the pics? well im lame and have no interior pics, but i took a bunch of the outside.:D

plan from here out is a solid dd with a possible 6in drop on air shocks. gonna re-key the torsion bars, flip the main leaf and make a homebrew traction bar everything will be done with modded stock parts thx to 85pickamatruck :clapping:

for those wanting the stout build, dont worry i got a donor, new build thread starting soon :headbang:

Nice to see the story of the truck again. How's it been holding up since the show? I dig the cameo shot of me and Cody in the backgroundlol
