im sorry fellas i love toyotas with a passon but these cars that are layed out and rat rods layin rocker are just the coolest thing ever check this site out i love this http://www.butcherkustoms.de/vegaspage07.htm
man, i wish there were that many rat rods around me! but i get to see one about once a week now, and it sits low!
a guy i know is looking to build a ratrod. he is planning to use a 22r. he wants reliability and gas mileage. plus it would be plenty of power to get it around town. probably really piss of the traditional hot rod guys.
ahhaah you know it would most hot rodders are against import anything and putting a import motor in a domestic car they would be extremely pissed lol most hot rod guys around here look down on classic cars if it isnt completely stock lol even if its lowered a little bit they get real pissed about it and wont even go look at it
there is a guy locally looking to trade a complete 29 model A, for a 65/6 mustang fastback shell. i have a running driving coupe that i was thinking about offering. i would probably go with a toyota 4 cylinder as well. i don't give a damn what the traditional guys think of it.
lol, thats why there rats...i wouldnt mind taking a toyota pickup and making it look like a rat rod, just take alot of cutting and welding..but IMO be worth it
when i was chopping the top on the yota i thought about that as well. my brother and me thought we could narrow the cab and section the body a bit. then shorten the bed and throw on an old grill. it would be pretty easy.
It's still early. Personally, I feel all of us here, to some degree, are on the verge of something great. I believe it will be our grandchildren (37, w/ 2yr old son) who will actually enjoy our efforts with our Toyotas, the most. Right now we're all experimenting. Learning. Barely pushing past the envelope of what's possible. For various reasons, still caught between practical and fun. There was a time where all those rakin' Rat Rods were "family cars" or "work trucks". Now they're artistic expressions of personality, metal-work ingenuity, and all heart - practicality be damned. As the years go by, our numbers will dwindle. Parts will become obsolete. Then others will move on, while the true hardcore Toyota lovers will hunt, hoard, and really get creative. Then someone will be saying, "Sorry fellas, i love Hybrids with a passon....but what I'd give for a nice Rat Rod Yota".
i liek the 7th from the bottum the most, that style of truck is what i would use as a base line for the toyota, if i did one..
i feel like an idiot, i have looked at those pics like 20 times and just realized if you put the cursor on them it changes to a different pic.
