aluminum blocks?

    what the problem with aluminum drop blocks? are they just not strong enough? or is it the hardware that comes with the kit that is bad?

    88 2wd base reg cab.
    Most wont recommend em cause they crack. Ive used auto zone off the shelf 3" blocks on 3 trucks. 5 years first truck 3 years second 6months on the latest (new set for each truck) never had a hiccup. Did there job perfectly. Now 4"angled blocks id def go to summit racing get steel.

    Yea some of the blocks are alright I've no a few folks that have run aluminum blocks and never had a problem guess it depends on the quality of the aluminum and or how much you bottom out if your real low frame smacking low with no bump stops

    alright guys, thanks. how low can i go in the rear end without having to cut any cross members or a notch? and how low in the front without cutting out my fender wells?
