Yea iv been down 4 months just barely fired it up today

 

That's what it's looking like for me haha. Too many birthdays and the rest of life this time of year. By the time it goes back on I'm hoping to have LCE block plates for the emissions crap, header, cam and new valve train. Also going take care of the timing chain, water pump and a LCE oil pump too. That's the plan anyway.

 

Same here with the year. That's what I did with my internals and front side plus new radiator /hose /belts and everything else you can imagine

 

Ordered lighting stuff for the truck.
Drove it hard today too, with friends' mustang, civic si, mr-2, vw passat, and that was completely a fun ride.
We were in a convoy doing roughly 55-60, and i passed them doing a 3rd gear pull. I didn't think i could have that power to push a full tank of gas that fast xD

 

Got the new head unit installed, a Kenwood DDX419 , now just have to paint the surround to match.

 

Got new windshield seal installed On The Stout.

 

Pulled the cab off the frame. Slowly getting ready for the swap.

 

tightened up the valves, put the grill back on and took the girlfriend to play in the mud!

Loaded it up to go to metal salvage.

 

Finished installing my new tuner & painted/ clear coated the bezel & another part. Had to wire a push button switch into the mix for the antenna, as I guess all the Kenwoods now have this lead hot when the unit is powered up,not just with the tuner function on!!

 

Dropped the head off to the machine shop.

 

got it over to a mate's place where I will be doing body & rust repairs and a paintjob

started checking out the motor after i recovered my truck from being stolen. making a list of parts i need

 

Today i found out that your truck needs to be out of gear when starting as the only thing stopping it was a small work bench, 2 mountain bikes, a lawn mower and a shelf.
Only damaged the valance and broke the brake lever on the mtb. lucky
but on the bright side i can honestly say it starts first pop.

 

That effin blows man! ^^^
I scored a set of black 1988 bmw M6 floor mats. Brand spankin new from my boss.. installed! Haha covers a bit of the blue viynal oh yea!

 

We all learn one way or another. Because it happened to us or someone we knew lol.
