I had set on my 4runner and yes they hang lower then ya like

I had to mod mine so it would work with my sas so the exhaust would not hit the drive shaft

    stock

    modded

all I had to do was was cut up the the pipe to tuck it up higher

what I did was cut 1 inc off the passenger side coletor
    [IMG]

then cut about 8 inc's or s off the y pipe on the passger side
    [IMG]

then after cutting some pipe off re welded this back on so it could slip over the collector
    [IMG]

this si what the y piped looked like all welded up
    [IMG]

and here is the why pipe collector

hope this help but yes chopping will have to be doen if you plan to lower it

since it really made for a IFS-4x4

Yeah thats what I figured.....cant thank you enough for the pictures...thats really going to help me out.

Ive also read that these wont fit on a 2wd pickup because of the torsion bar on the passenger side. Seems like I read a thread somewhere of somebody clearancing the torsion bar to make it fit but I cant find the thread now.

thinking about it it just might clear reason why is they hang to low so it hits the bars

the way I did it will fit with torsion bar since ti is sucked up so much

Do you have any more pics of your headers (before and after install)? Im about to try and tackle this and Im just looking for a shot to the arm lol. Ive done my fair share of reading and just want to get it right.

One thing that I cant decide on is the pair and egr...keep or delete. What do you think?

I got rid of mine since I did not care about tree's

you can make power but you will loose gas economy from getting rid of the egr. the pair valve just for smog to help the cat work if you don't have a cat ya don't need the pair valve

that really is the only thing to think about

as for me I just got rid of it all

When you removed the EGR...what did you use to cap the headers? My Thorleys did not come with caps in case I dont run my egr....which im not going to.
