Truck starts better now that I have replaced cap rotor plugs and wires. But still idles like ****. It acts like it wants to die and when its cold it usually does, but even after it warms up the idle is way to low in my opinion. I don't know a lot about this stuff, just learning as I go, got a chilton manual to help me but that can be confusing! Thanks

Might just need to adjust the Idle screw up a little. Also change the filters too. Air and Fuel!

    Should have kept... '88 4x4 22RE
My idle issue is the polar opposite of yours, I've got the 22RE in my '88, but because I have the manual transmission, I have the dashpot. Needless to say, my dashpot is faulty, I bought the part months ago but I'm still waiting to install it.
