Here's my story....last summer I was driving home from the coating place when I started hearing a funny sound coming from the rear end. Thought it was nothing so just turned up the radio. Well needless to say.....it just got worse, got so bad that when I looked in my mirror I could see smoke coming from beneath the truck. I new things were really bad when I slowed down and the rear end started to lock-up. I quickly got the truck to side of the road and out of the way. Got out only to see fluid leaking out of the rear end.....I could put the truck in gear let out the clutch and the drive shaft would just spin! Got the truck home found out the pinion gear nut started to back out. Ring gear took a beating....chipped some teeth.....and get this, could not find a replacement so had to use the same ring gear! I had the bearings replaced and reinstalled the unit.....so far so good! Here some snaps! Here some snaps! God I love this truck!:clapping:
