bj flip and balljoint flip are the same thing. Basically unbolt the balljoints, put them on top of the control arms and bolt em back in. Loosening your torsion bar bolts gets you a inch and a half maybe..

remove a leaf from the pack out back

Loosening your torsion bars will get you anywhere from 1" to 5" depending on how much you loosen the bolts

Yea if your torsion bars are loosened u should be pretty slammed and have a bumpy rough ride

don't forget to trim those bumpstops. and if you do, depending on tire height, your tires may just smack those fender wells.

Just do a BJ you will get a better ride than torsion adjustment.

bj flip with a rekey will render a good drop, you may want to run a shock up front from 92' gmc sonoma 2wd as they have a shorter overall body and 1.5" shorter stroke. The toxic shocks for the same truck will be even shorter and run about 4.3" of travel/stroke. This will allow you to run low without bottoming out on shocks and more useful travel. Low profile bumpstops are recomended.

As for the rear, you can remove the center leaf, flip the overload and this will net you 3" of drop. Add an any size block to add to that drop size. Ive yet to find a shorter shock than toxics replacements.

Bj flip is definatly nice. I also cranked my torsions. It rides.... good... lol I recommened 69 camero front schocks. They provide a much much stiffer ride and can handle being low well. And due to being so stiff they decrease body roll and make it hard to bottom out. And there 25 bucks a pop at ur local auto part stire. I also pulled my middle leaf and flipped overload with 3" blocks. A notch is recommended for my drop and needed for anymore.

I did both -lower bj flip and torsions. i am scrapping the inside of fender, and the bolts that come through it (for the P/S reservoir). im gonna have to replace those bolts with shorter ones, cut my front bump stops n reinstall them for good measure. it may ride a little rougher but at least i wont slam my tires in to the screws n the wheel well as bad! or maybe i just need to lose some weight lol

removing the bumps stops will give a better smoother ride as well, but bottoming out the tire is a factor.

A 3"/3" is as far as you go unless you want to start cutting stuff up. I have all my leafs, with 4" blocks in the rear, DJM lowers with cranked down torsion in the front. I am at a 3"/4" and my drive shaft hits at times and the rear bottoms out on bumpy roads and lets face it, this is America! sh!ty roads is a way of life. Soon as I realized I had to cut stuff up to go lower I just said I was going to bag it.

I put 6k+ miles on my truck in the last 3 months with a 4"/4" and didnt bottom out (front/rear) or hit drive shaft. The only time I hit was when I carried a ton of water for a party we were having

Must have better roads then, but I do every now and then with a load or sometimes without but on bad bumps or something. Not everyday though... Depends, I do a trip to the dump to take my trash every weekend and I bottom out. I will have to full trash cans toward the cab and the rest of the bed full of trash bags. I am just saying that it can happen.
