    Update 01-31-13!!!!

Just added a fourth page, tons of pics of the Indian Turquoise "cut in" work!

    Indian Turquoise Abides!

Link at bottom of the new page takes you back to page one.

Full story along with pics. Got my first disappointment, but the massive amounts of awesome kinda make it OK.

    Y'all enjoy!

How long before we see the completed truck? This is truly going to be a show worthy build.

I wouldn't trip too much on the seat. Worst case scenario, you would have to live with factory like interior. That doesn't sound too bad at all

I have to admit though, cloth seats would have been nice. How about adding some cloth inserts instead. That shouldn't cost too much. That's what I had done to my Impala seats

Oh, man...that Impala looks righteous! What year? From the roofline, I'm thinkin' '70 to '72? My folks had a silver '72 2-door, man what a land yacht!

Already had a friend suggest goin' back by the upholstery place and asking them to sew me up a nice cloth-covered cushion made to fit that I could use...that may work, too.

As for when she'll be "finished"...well, the body shop guys said that it would be at least 2 to 3 weeks more on their end. They're going to finish sprayin' her, and then roll her back into the assembly area, then they take the wheels off and remove the tires, and send the wheels to be powder coated...that will take another two weeks. THEN she's gotta be rolled back down to Rising Sun and have her engine and tranny and the AC installed...along with some other stuff...I'm thinkin' it's gonna be at least another month, probably two! Been at it 'officially' since November, so it may turn into a five-six month project.

If there's one thing I've had to learn with this, it's been the whole idea of "patience" on a much grander scale than I've ever learned it before!

It'd be killer to have a "stable" of Impalas, one of each year from '59 on up to '69...things got kinda odd after that, but each year of the '60s Impalas had somethin' cool about it. Love those Cat's Eye taillights on the '59s. My older brother's first car was a '60 Impala 4-door hardtop, white over copper, with the top that had the little "jut out lip" all along the back. When you rolled all the windows down, that vast expanse of open-ness just looked grand.
