Dan i dug up a pic of my panels from my photobucket account. i have higher rez pics somewhere. is this what you are going to do? R.I.P. taco
LOL that interior is a whore, i bought it already done and put it in my taco, after it was totaled i stripped the interior and sold it to someone else. i dont know if he has it still or if he sold it off too. heres a pic of what the seats looked like. funny thing is was i hated the 60/40 bench and had put 02 celica buckets in. i even custom built mounts for the seat to bolt in factory location and traded them to go back to the custom tweeded 60/40
Well the black part of the dash is coming along nicely. Its pretty hard to find time to work on it though since it has to be a sunny day and I'm working 30 hours a weeks and going to school I've resorted to wet sanding the trim while showering lol. As of now the cupholder is completely smooth and ready for paint, wet sand after, and clear coat. The cluster trim is some what smoothed but I decided I wanted to mold the little retangular panels, that pop out, into the dash so it would be smooth. I used some abs glue to fill in the gaps and to fill in a couple of holes from a switch and led that was previously installed. I'm kinda doing this blind since I've never attempted anything like this so if anyone is interested in a write-up I could make one when I'm done.
Hey carbon I pm'ed you did you get it??????????????????????? I'm ready to send you money for the cover just need your paypal ID.
Hey guys I'm new here, just want to show my baby. She is down right now,F-in head gasket.Should be back up soon
I can confirm CarbonRevo's post about the bucket seats. Except that on a 91 there were only 6 holes. the two rear and the front outside. unless i am retarded which is a possibility. lol. i am also looking to customize my interior as well. so this is a good place for me to troll. lol
did u have any troubles getting those buckets to fit in ur single cab? im thinking about doing that for a little more room...
There is no problem with actual fit. Carbon was right about feed the bolts a little at a time though. I tried bolting one at a time at first too. Feed them and they will slide right in. There is more room and its a very nice fit too. Just like he said you will need to check on the fourth bolt(front innermost bolt). I didnt have a hole in my 91 but i havent checked on my 95 yet though. The problem I currently have is the fact that i want to find seats that fit in with little to no fab work. A swap of seats from another toyota is the best idea. i don't really like the idea of messing with aftermarkets and the so called unviersal sliders.
i hear u there... if i can ever get my hands on a decent set of buckets that require little to no fab then im jumpin all over them... i hate my bench seat! very uncomfortable.. good luck findin some of those seats!
Here's a site where I searched the US for a pair of buckets. http://autorepair.about.com/gi/dyna...&tt=14&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http://www.car-part.com/
Hey guys, I used a set of honda accord seats, I had to fab the mounts, used the brackets from the stock split bench and welded them on to the rails for the new seats. I will get pics tomorrow..... if you want to see them.
i jus put in a 60/40 bench split in my std cab, everything except the drivers side inner rear bolt fit
