found the cite today from CustomTaco site. Thought I would stop by and say hello. I haven't had much time to browse the site. Not sure if mine classify as a mini but I do have a 1980 Toyota 4x4. current state is 20R/L50/dual cases. IFS rear end welded, front lock rite, high steer/hydro assist. 4.37 gears.. Dovetailed front and rear, extended cab,Rock sliders and bobbed 18" front and 13" rear. Purdy much a street able Rock Crawler. Mike my brothers has sense then smoothed out my fab work on the bed and doors. Looking for info on a 2rz fe swap into a 1980 toyota4x4.
Welcome to Toyotaminis man! Totally thrilled to see another 4 x 4 hanging out with us! CYA in the forums! Feel free to start a build thread and check out the other kewl stuff we got going on!
Thanks, It has been 5 years in the making. aside from the 2rz swap. (thinking out loud of course)...was adapting the Tacoma dash and instrument cluster. A roll cage. I was thinking exo cage rear...sense the bed is narrower then the body. B pillar their, halo over the cab and thru the front (inside) above the A pillar. Not that I am tall. but their isn't much room inside the cab. Out back just a simple X bracing on the B pillar and down bars going to the back. I have ideas out back...just hard to explain them on text. Finish the x-cab area and paint it yellow. My wife (Maria) wants two m&m's painted on the hood....hense the name mnmtoy. maybe 5.29 gears in the diffs and 4.7 gears in the rear transfer case. Some Bobby long, longfields axles out front. some 40" (39.5) TSl's but that is about all. I have my build on Texas4x4.org. I don't want to start another build thread. The wife loves me yes...but, I spend way to much time on my truck...let alone posting pics on the net. Mike
I'm not sure if CT is part of TM but, I may post my swap their or my home site "texas4x4.org" I'll keep you guys posted and thanks for a Rocking Welcome. Mike
