So I am just wondering if I could install tacoma door panels or the plastic pockets that are at the bottom that double as the speaker surround on a 90-95 pickup? I think that having that small bit of storage at the bottom of the door would be great and also protect the speaker much more.

Interesting thought....have you had the chance to check the fitment of that inner plastic on the door? If not...I'll check it out when it isn't raining here, I'll just rob the passenger side of my Taco see what happens for ya!

i have a complete set of 98 tacoma panels. I tryed using them and being as I have a the smoker windows the will not work with out alot of cutting and remarking the holes for the clips. I to thought that is would be sweet to have the speaker cover and door pocket. I not saying it cant be done but I have other ideas. If anyone wants them hit me up.

Hey guys thanks for your thoughts. I actually don't even own a truck. I used to own a pristien 94 2 wd in high school and I have been hankering to get one again to haul my '78 vespa.

So to answer your question cmcpher, I have not tried anything. I would really like to find a set of those plasic door pockets and if they work use them. I own a honda accord and one of the things l like about it is that the door has those things. Also this would be great because it would add a "finished" look instead of having a speaker cut out in your door.

As for the smokers windows, I presume you are describing the little triangular windows that are found on 4 runners? I would like those as well, but would it not be more efficiant to try and swap the entire door? or would that not fit?

oh! well that puts the ideas of swapping the doors to rest. like I said I don't have a truck to compair things to yet but I would love to own "grounds671" truck but its out of my price range and too far to travel!
