I have low profile rear bump stops that bolt onto the factory holes in the frame. They are alot thinner than the huge stock ones (even when trimmed) and are Energy poly so they are quality. These are custom Beefed Bumps that have helped alot of people already. Perfect for lowered trucks. PM for details, thanks. Beefed.
I can tell you this products works and fits great. Brian does great fab work and takes care to make sure it is right out of the box. Great seller and has great responce on CT as well. Thanks again Beef.
I pm'd seller, waiting for a reply...are these recommended for just a static drop of 2" spindles in front / 3" blocks in rear?
if you get 2" spindles in the front, you dont need new bumpstops. the stock ones work fine and are preffered unless you feel like bottoming out the shock first..... (trust me, you dont want that ) for the rear yes. i would highly recommend the snubby stops. reason for this is that your shock travel remains the same but your axle is now 3 inches closer to the frame. considering how much rear suspension travel these have, you will run out of axle to frame clearance before you run out of shock travel. you will want that snubby stop to cushion any bottoming out that might happen.
That's anice plug right there!! I appreciate that huge man. Thanks. I PMed you back finally. Sorry, I had a couple busy days and didn't log on which is very unusual for me. For the front I sell these to the Taco guys because I'm using them and they helped alot with my tire rubbing the inner on bumps. They are Energy poly and aren't as soft & spongy as the stockers which slows the tire a bit more before impact. I've had a few guys tell me they really helped their truck alot. I just need Alex here to measure his front bumps and see if these are about the same height.
I can get poly parts next day for good prices. If there's something you need as far as bumps, sway, body mounts, anything, just throw me a PM and I can give you a price or find out right away.
Yep, it's a kit I sent a guy who is in Iraq right now. The big thing is my frame brace/radiator guard for the 97-00 Taco's, the siler brackets are replacements for the cheesie ones Hellwig sends in their rear sway kit and the other stuff is poly parts for the suspension....and the KYB Monomax shocks. I already know it won't. The front 2 mounts look similar and the rear mounts are definitely different. The quicker we get SD YOTA or yankeetaco72 up here the quicker I'll have one available for the pre taco's. I just hope there aren't as many little frame changes as there are w/the Taco's! Thanks a ton for the interest. I'm really pumped on getting some stuff available for these killer little PT's!
hey beefed. sorry about the delay but ill let you know the soonest i can head up there so you can have a crack at it. with our frames 95 and earlier, there was very littel if not no changes at all made to these trucks. i think the frame points ran almost the same all the way through untill the tacoma model. i had my 91 and looked at them myself. the only real changes came in the bumper mountings, and thats about it. might wanna get a hold of Al ((FOKAI)). he has a 93 yota pickup and we can verify the frame points on 89-95 with his truck. then use mine to cover 84-88, and manny's to cover the 79-83. im almost 100% positive the frame points did not change. just need to do the R&D to verify this.
Killer info Alex. We'll do the first one on yours then check it on the other 2 trucks. We'll come up with a nice logical design....it'll be sweet!
For anyone who comes accross this old thread, I have front low profile bump stops for 95 and earlier trucks now too and they will replace the tall stock ones and use metric hardware (13mm socket) Simple bolt on install, no drilling front or rear. They are Energy button style so the quality is there which means they will hold up. I was contacted by a TM member a while back who owned a 1977, and since Toyota is known for changing designs way too often, you'll see the difference in pic #3 of that year vs 80's trucks. The holes were about 3/8" wider on the 77 set. As for color, they come in black & red, but as fast as I go through these, I've realized it's more important to get them built and shipped than to worry about color since on a lowered truck you can't see them anyway. My last batch was red, my current batch is black. 1) Click my signature. 2) On home page click Products. 3) On product page find & click Categories. 4) In categories find & click Bump Stops. 5) Easy PayPal checkout.
Those are really nice, had a set on 2 of my static dropped trucks before, wish they had those back in high school when I had my static dropped 86 toyota pu, had to trim them down back then and just live with it.
