They came on my truck with all drop shocks and they ride pretty good to me. Haven't drove one with crank torsion to compare to yet.
I'm running them on my 88 and my bro is running them on his 89. We haven't had any problems with ours other than the install being somewhat difficult. Both trucks ride pretty good (for old trucks) I don't think the ride is as soft as it might be with cranked torsions. You will probably need to trim, replace, or remove your front bumpstops because you will be close to sitting on them. I just wish I would have gotten 4'' blocks for the back instead of 3''.
Thanks... im currently running 3 inch blocks with pulled leaf in the rear. The fron is torsioned down and bj flipped to match the back... id say im currently sitting at 4/4 maybe 5/4... iplan on leaving torsions where they are and adding the 3"inch DJM's hoping to get about 6" up front... and im gonna notch the ass and thro on some Monroe MA803's....hopefully be sitting around 6/6 =D
Im running belltech drop spindles, djm control arms, stock kyb shock replacements, and ball joint flip and barely touvhed torsions for alignment. Stock shocks barely collapsed with the drop arms.
Yah.....if i had the money i would run that combo too...but just gonna slap on the DJM LCA's and turn the torsions a good amount(like i have it now) and grab some DJM shocks. As far as the ball joints go..do these LCA's give u the option of mounting top or bottom?
