As of right now all my wheels stick out about 1/2" from the outside of my fenders. I would like to know if I would be able to clear the wheels by just rolling the fenders. The truck has a 2/3 drop and I am going to go lower. maybe a 5/6 at most, but right now leaning towards a 4/5. If it matters my wheels are 18x9 ET15. i'm running 215/40/18 tires stretched and the tires still rub constantly when hitting dips or bumps in the road. any help is appreciated. Thank guys!!!
You could run a 4x4 fender. That will give you quite a bit more room, some people prefer the 4x fender styling.
I will go the route of the 4X fenders, but as of right now I will be using a lot of the money on the suspension and motor so I just need a quick fix temporarily. The other thing is, What would I need to do to the rear. It's not as easy as buying the 4X fronts and just slapping them on.
In the rear you can either get a US spec 2x or 4x bed and swap it on or get an axle from an earlier truck. If I recall your axle is 55 1/2" wide while 75-78 are 53".
Yea I agree don't think rolling the front will work without looking bad I've herd of some local people around here having there rims mounting hub machined down not entirely sure its possible with every. Rim tho
just pull your fenders. i pulled my fronts and they dont rub anymore. now i havent dont the rear but i believe you have to undo one of the bedside brackets and drill another hole to mount it back. I know SDyota did it on that red pickup he was working on. just take your time with it and dont rush it.
