Hey im steve. I Bought a 1988 22re single cab from California mini trucks in montclair, CA. Paid $2500, it was wrecked and they are fixing everything on it for the price I paid. Clean title, and a clean frame (no damages). It has 203,xxx miles with a manual trans. Clean motor too, the place told me a old man drove it around. I should get it tomorrow given its fixed. Can't wait to fix it up and start driving it. I used to own a 1990 Mazda b2200 ext. Cab. I'll post pictures when I get it.

Thanks guys. Is the 88 22re fuel injected or Carb? Will it be difficult to start this thing up when its cold outside or should it be relatively easy? Anything I should do to it once I get it? Thanks

Its good brah. Good area. Where in la are you? Definitely will. The body will be good but I figure I'll need new shocks. I'd like a decent drop on it. Not to where the wheels tuck under. I'd wanna replace the bench with bucket seats and I've liked the look of deep dish wheels.

 

I have good memories of West Covina ... Allot of just hangin' out at 'IN-N-OUT' there on Grand but it's been well over 25 years ago ... Been wanting to take a trip back to see how much it's changed, maybe this summer ... Welcome to TM, bro ...

 

Getting my truck tomorrow. The guy working on it has been lagging it. Rented a car for work tonight. I'll be pissed if I don't get it tomorrow. Anyways, hope to post photos of it tomorrow.

 

Got my truck today... after running around... spending $268 on Registration because the truck hadn't been registered since 2007, then spending $100 (down payment) on Insurance. I'm so burnt out. Glad I got my truck insured and registered!

@Dgerfan55: Hell yeah, I might swap out the bench though. Leather makes me sweat and makes me itch. Other then that its a comfortable seat, I could see myself going on a long trip with no problems. I may get Bucket Seats and put a center console/arm rest in the middle @Flaco: I'll post some Engine pics for ya when the sun comes up!
