I have a guy at work who has a collection of old motors from all different types of vehicles... i got to talkin about engine swaps with him the other day and he tells me he has an old toyota motor but wasnt sure what it was... i asked him to dive into it, and come to find out, he tells me its a N/A 1JZ, and that i can have it if i want it... i asked him if it had a tranny with it, he told me no but said a friend of his has a wrecked 1st gen supra that may have an r154 in it that could become available.... is it worth taking the motor for free? i dont have anything else to drive at the moment, so the swap couldnt be now, but also im not sure that the N/A swap would be worth the cost... given that the motor would be on a stand and would get a complete rebuild though, i have no doubt i could find a single t manifold somewhere around here or online..... what do you guys think? would it be worth taking up the extra room and rebuilding? or should i just pass

Take it and part it out. Don't even think about swapping it in, its not worth the time and $ your going to spend getting it going. It does have some parts that are worth money though, like the oil pan, motor mounts, valve covers - basically anything that will swap onto a GTE. Also, a first gen Supra will not have an R154, those only came in Turbo 3RD gen Supras.
