ok guys, im looking to drop my turbo truck the correct way. Im going to get the 2" drop spindles and 3" blocks for the rear. My only real concern in the tires rubbing. Can i do this static drop and still run stock tires on the front? Side note i am getting 4x4 front fenders for it. Shocks im still thinkin about, the truck needs them. So on that note what is better to run for the front? im looking to get air shocks for the rear (truck is used 2 haul my 2 wheel toys around). IS there any thing else im forgetting? i will most likely be replacing all the ball joints for the front while i have it all apart ( going to cost me but it will pay out in the long run).

    Any recommendations for anything else?

    Thnks Frinzo.

ive run 4 inch blocks and no torsion bars which is an incredible drop on stock tires.. no problems

I however, am on 3 inch blocks and dropped the front 3 inches via bars and rub if i hit a bump....depends on the year i think.

The only thing I noticed when I static dropped my 87' with stock tires and offset was that it would rub the inner fender closest to the engine bay at full lock, the ride in the back with 3" blocks was a little rougher than stock and I had to remove half the bumpstops because if I carried a medium heavy load I would hit them. My shocks were changed to Nitro Drop 2's and Im sure helped significantly. I will say just do it the easy way to test . . . Add weight to the front end via sandbags or via torsion bar adjustments and see how everything reacts and you will know for sure how itll clearance, its an old school trick and works well.

here's a picture when i first dropped my 86 3/3. it had 2" spindles up front with a B/J flip and a 3" block in the rear. tires were 205/60/14's i think.

on hard bumps it rubbed slightly on the inner fender liner with stock fenders, nothing removed, simple stock shocks. other than that, full lock it was fine.

    i miss that look......

it had a touch of rake. i think the rear sat between 3/4's to 1 inch higher than the front. not partial to the evenness look so i dropped it accordingly to leave the natural rake in it.

Not a "NEW" picture but a look from before when I had her static dropped with 2" drop spindles, 3" blocks in the rear and sportN those big O' 215 - 65 15's. . . Lock to lock it rubbed inner fenders and in the rear it cleared fine unless I hadda load in the back, she was frogged out and wandered a little on these wild Montana roads, but the NEW drop was sweet. . . The picture below that is with the same frogged out rims ( 0 offset ) and 195 55 15's. She liked to wander still and it threw off the speedometer but clearance issues were never a problem, even lock to lock . . .
