I'm trying to swap radiators right now and the radiator I bought from someone on this site doesn't have the same vacuum/emission set up as my current radiator has.

This "plug" as I'll call it is located on the top of the radiator to the right of the upper hose and has 2 lines running from it.. one that goes to a spot before the thermostat and another that goes to a vacuum regulator looking thingy on the left side of the engine compartment.

is it ok to bypass this or should I look into getting a suitable radiator? I can post pics if needed

    --edit--

I've realized that it's probably the temperature sensor that activates the thermostat via vacuum control. Might be good to get a radiator that fits it

I think I got it.. i'll have to get a new radiator before I smog it again but I just closed the loop between the TVSV and the VCV.. it just won't be actuated when the engine gets warm any more. might make starting a little rough but that's nothing new to me.
