Figured I'd post his here since it can go for all years. Where is a good place to get HID's or H4 conversion kits? And a good brand? One of my headlights went out today and figured what a better time.
The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications this is where i bought my stuff for my retro...not a plug n play kit
Dave are you new?? There is like 50 posts about this. Joey has the perfect setup its more than legit. Ebay does sell the plug and play kits also along with new headlights because ours are solid one piece (when it burns out your replace entire assembly not just bulb) They are pretty decent price on Ebay I have used a few of them on various cars but the kit Joey used is PREMO.
I say hella e-code H4 housing and a plug and play hid kit from ddm. Great price and easy. I don't get highbreams or piss people off.
Yeap! What I run, no problems ,have low & high beams ,want in easily, just had to add a resister for my high beam indicator to work.
The resistor he's referring to is just for the indicator to work..I highly doubt it will fix your highbeam situation...did you ever get a chance to troubleshoot it?
So far all Ive done is hooked up an old light and the high beams worked on that and I swapped out the 2 relays in the wiring harness and they both seem to be functioning. Next thing I plan to try is to do is directly ground the high beams and see what that does for me. If that doesn't work I am going to add a temporary switch until I can get the high beams functioning properly.
Me and my friends always use ddmtuning.com for our hid kits. They come with slim ballasts, its all plug and play and replacement bulbs are about 15 bucks, and they are pretty good with warranty problems too!
