Drop blocks didn't fit

    Got 3in drop blocks...and they don't fit!!!! Had to enlarge the hole for the leaf spring pin........big time!!!

    Is this normal???

    that happens with cheap drop blocks. You should look into beefs blocks. He is a vendor on this site. Built for our trucks and he sells good u bolts. His whole setup will out last our trucks.

    o my no, i did theese last night, thought the same thing at first glance, but popped that metal wrap off the pack and then block fits on, its a thin metal sleeve with a rubber sleeve in it

    Yep should of popped that metal thing off. Thats what i did to. Now by drilling bigger hole on those cheap blocks going to make them more weak. Sorry to hear bro.

    Just take those back!!! Dont tell them that you did that. They will not know.

    Why is that a gamble? Aren't they all aluminum. Thats What I got on my truck and they hold up great.

    Not all are aluminum. auto part Stores yes. But if you contact beefed taco he makes solid blocks.

    I had 4' angled aluminum blocks on mine for like 6 months... When I took 'em off they were cracked where the pin went in ( I drilled mine out as well) and l were loose on the truck because of it. You should just spend a bit more and get beefed's stuff. Its worth it. Just my .02

    yeah, the metal wrap on the stock leafs can be placed on top of the drop blocks.

    axle.
    wrap.
    block.
    leafs.

    that's the order of top to bottom.

    Been running aluminum on mines 3". Yeah i had to drill em too....still a snug fit.
    Never had problems cracks etc...

    If they crack i'll just go grab another set.

    had the same problem...the blocks i purchased at autozone.com aren't big enough as well....i tried to fit the drop block where the arrow shows (between those two plates), but the bottom hole on the block is too small.

    Do what NAM said and put the blocks under the wrap and on top the leaf spring, instead of between the wrap and the perch

    okay, will the wrap have to be cut? i didnt see any bolt holding it together

    Dont think they need to be cut,& the u-bolts hold everything together.
