I just ordered a set of 4 of those explorer/mountaineer rims for just under $300 shipped from rockauto.com. I'm planning on running 235/40 18's on them, which puts them a little shorter than the factory 195/75 14's by 0.11 inches. You want to know the crazy part? I don't even have a toyota truck yet. I'm picking up a bagged singlecab 4cyl 5spd 91 as soon as my tax return comes in, and it needs bigger wheels to clear the drop spindles it needs. Of course, if all else fails, I can put tires on these wheels and have drift tires for my supercharged 96 Saleen ;) Oh, and I am SO stealing the old school center cap idea... No, wait, I'll call it an homage! Oh, and before anyone says that the tires are too wide, they aren't, I've done my research, and the previous owner swapped over to 4wd front sheetmetal.

Post up pics when you get them on, or else it didn't happen.

Look at the Lexus RX truck parts / SUV thing. They may have big steelies. Ford or large. Or any large or Nissan Lexus. I think using some 17 "donut spare parts I have seen, rehooped300 hoop

my TWO mountaineer 18's came in... They only had the two in stock, so I went ahead and got them, since they are as cheap as they are. I also have a set of highlander steelie center caps coming. I'm going to see if I can rig something up to mount them up.

Wally, def. show pics before and after. I should have my 18" steelies on my new old truck I picked up the other week. I will post pics when its done. Oh, for those of you that want steelies larger than an 18", the steelies from a dodge nitro r/t come in 20" (that's whats going on my 1985, and the 18" are going on "The Black Pearl" my 1988).

18" on the left, 20" on the right

I'll keep hunting, I have been searching for a while, Was thinking of getting some centerline smoothies and powdercoating them Satin Black, But this is a much better option, Now If I can sell my 2 sets of 18s and find some online, I can buy em and get em coated! I see theyre on ebay for $100 each...The place I found was $67 each, waiting to hear back from them :)

BAck from the dead I know, But when I did my searching I called Keystone, Empire, and every other body supply place I still had hookups at. Only places that had them were a place on ebay $93 each and only had 2. Or $600 for all 4 shipped  Sorry not for steelies! I can get Centerline smoothies for a lil more then that!
