hi guy's,my name's justin and i'm doing up a 94' 4x2 single cab tray back and have aready done heaps to it,and was wondering if its posible to run a suck through turbo set up on a 22r?,its aready got a weber 32/36 dgev carb, any ideas ? there should be an attached photo of the engine bay of my ute
Welcome! post pics of the truck man. and i cant answer your question, but im sure someone will chime in.
welcome man! I think you can run a turbo on a 22r, someone on here has done it, but i think you will need to change your carb.
Smurfs Yes you can definetly turbo a 22r. BTW where did you get your smurfed out headers? what are those? Did you paint them like that? Lets see some pics of the truck. Looks goo so far what else have you done?
mate your brake boosters on the wrong side haha its like that when i look at yanky trucks(everthing is on the wrong side),yeah there australian made headers i think their sterlling or something and than i painted them with VHT flame proof paint, ive started making a turbo manifold and i'm getting a 350 holley off my mate for nothing, and i got a garret gt28,and another 22r motor running for free as long as i pick it up haha so that will be the prodject motor,i think there are some more photo's in the members gallary
You're gonna turbo out a flatbed? Put a big ass spoiler on the bed because that things gonna be drifting like a kangaroo on crack.LOL
haha i hate kangaroos they always jump out in front of ya and **** ya car up,most trucks are over here have trays and tubs are pritty hard to find and when you do find one its on the other side of the country.I want see if i can get a detriot locker for the diff, then she'll be sideways
That looks awesome bro, i always loved the lowered flatbeds. What kind of boost are you planning on running?
Wow love the center console. Also why dont you drop that front down alittle more so it looks even with the back?
um not sure yet probably around 10psi just because i still want to use it as a daily driver, but head on the project motor is f*cked so i'm,thinking i'll ditch the turbo carby idea and look for a efi head and intake system so over here i'm pritty sure the 22rs we had from 89-96(all carbied)are the same as the 85-95 22r,22re's you guys had in the states,so if anyone has a efi setup for a 85-95 22re they want to get rid of cheap let us know
haha true i'm not an overly big fan of bagged trucks either,i'm gona drop the front abit more like you said just to get it flat as soon as i get 4x4 gaurds cause i had em down before and it scrubbed out like crazy on the gaurds, and as soon as my engine is done i'm gona start looking for a tub for it instead of the flat bed
