oh damn you got me there i have a low post count wtf does that even matter douche? seriously and you sure wouldnt be calling a follower of yours a "keyboard fabricator" right? so must me the only 2 that posted in this thread that dont quite follow you bolt on ideas. sure do what makes you money and you asked for opinions and you got them. the smart thing on your part since you asked is ignore the negatives but nope you yourself play the game. and this site is def. not a "look at me" site i dont have much to add but post in my own thread cause 98% of this site is "im 2" lower then stock with 235/75 tires tucking fender" and "i painted my gauge bezel"
Yup that's me, captain bling. :ROFL I understand that people will buy your kit because it is low priced. I really wish people weren't so set on instant gratification that they would resort to using such a kit though and just saved their nickels for awhile longer and did it properly.
I was editing my post for maturity while you were posting. I'm not here to argue with you guys, but I will say this place is starting to remind me of a certain other place (no, not CT, I like 98% of those guys) where people love to argue and everyone knows everything there is to know about fabbiing and trucks. It's alright, while you guys are dumping thousands into yours with your gold plated welders and plasma's, I may be selling a notch kit to a kid who's living on Cup-O-Noodles to get his to ride smooth.
You're confusing me. Earlier you said you weren't even familiar with other c-notches or what they looked like. Now you know all about them?
so your now making it look like your the one being attacked then the mods get on everyone for talking **** blah blah blah... dont ever edit what you put down after a reply its such a bitch move to cover your own ass something like that belongs in the AIM thread on SSM.
This truck had a bolt in c-notch and was rear ended and totalled. When I asked him publically on the forum that I had always wondered how a bolt in notch would do in a situation like this, he replied it was the first thing he tought of and when he looked, to his surprise was perfect. Now I know the frame didn't take the entire impact, but it's at least 1 case I know of where the notch and frame survived a bad crash. That's gotta say something. The truck was totalled due to damage costs and the KBB value. The frame was fine.
Where did I make it look like I was being attacked? You're the one calling people names. I edited out the part where I told you to go make your 6th thread because I realized it was immature, that's different than calling someone a dousche. The politics and argueing are over for me, I have work to do and can't play right now,see ya.
c'mon guys this is supposed to be a friendly site where everyone can talk without being complete asses to each other.if something doesn't look right don't be a prick about it..I mean really guys be mature and stop acting like 8 year olds
I have no idea what other bolt on c notches look like which was the subject of that post. Knowing how to c notch properly isn't rocket science. By God even my dumb trucker self can accomplish it without a hitch I'm sure. But IF I ever do one I'll be sure to use my gold plated MIG I paid $75 for off of another forum. the bolt on notch won't fail in a wreck, but the stock frame sure will considering the material differences.
EVERYONE IS WELCOMED TO STAY ON THE SITE. now back to the product. BeefedTacos is simply pushing forward a product that will allow someone with no welding abilities or LACK of a welder to affordably get a simple C-notch that bolts in with the HIGHEST quality that Beefed will provide. This is mainly for the static guys who don't have a welder that will punch the metal with the thick-ish frame. With enough being said, let's forget about it and move on.
Everyone here is normally cool as fck but soon as someone mentions a bolt in notch everyone gets their hormones goin crazy.. Dont like the idea? Just say u dont like it. No need to pull out the shotgun and shoot it down. Lets keep it civil like it normally is.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i agree with ya. BeefTaco keep doing what your doing, Other guys keep doing what you are doing. Or you guys can start a thread in the off topic area and call it " acting like a immature kid again". But lets grow up and move on please.
Wow this thread really turned to crap, I appoligise for starting all this crap in your thread. By no means tho is my build a million dollar one, my truck is actually sitting outside under a cover while I work on other peoples vehicle to try and earn money to put back into the truck. My worries with a bolt on notch is, like you say, its only designed for static trucks, static trucks have a lot more loading going through the rear of the frame than a bagged truck because of the leaf springs. Every bump (small or large) works the leaf springs, which in turn, works the chassis. If these were pinned/dowelled to the chassis it would help, but they rely on the bolts having the holes drilled perfectly and I didnt notice a shank on the bolts either. The clamping area on the chassis is very minimal as well, I personally think it needs a lot more clamping area on the inside and overall length of the outer plates running along the chassis. But Im still not sold on the idea on actually bolting a C notch into a truck, yes people should be checking thier vehicle all the time, but in reality, how many people really do? and it only takes one person to not check them or install this properly for things to turn ugly and then it comes back to you, because you designed and built the kit. Maybe this is what I should have said in the first place, but by the time I get here Ive worked 13-14 hours and should really be in bed. Once again sorry for ruining your thread and I hope you can take my opinion as constructive critisim.
^ Makes sense. Thit kit seems decent enough, but respectfully I think weld in is much stronger and the way to go. Anyone with just minor fab experience can knock one out in a few hours taking their time with a material cost of less than $50 . And by no means am I a high dollar builder as you can see in my build thread. Saved a dollar wherever I could by making stuff myself.Just my .02
