I know you all like pics, I hope you will enjoy these and promise i will add more as more gets done. it all started finding this sitting in a farmers field and cost me the costly sum of a $30 box of beer 1981 18r 4speed 4x4 got this 3RZ and 5speed gearbox stored away for a rainy day stripped and cleaned found this getting rid of a few dents ready for paint first bit of new colour going on
Thats some nice work from where you found it. Do me a big favor can you give a detailed explanation how u fixed the rust that was located where the windshield sits? Thanks, Ive got the same issue but ur pic where your truck is primered shows it really cleaned up.
I paid someone that restores classic cars to do it as this sort of work is way over my head. Sorry i dont have any pics or an explanation of how it was done.
thanks, Ive seen a couple 4x4 3rz's and they went really well and its a pretty cheap conversion to do It was going to be a bush hack until i started stripping it down and found no rust other than under the windscreen so i had a change of heart for it. There's not many of these hilux's left on NZ roads so it a novelty in its self to have one on the road, as i have found out trying to get parts for it
All painted now, Mercury Silver looking real good now, i cant stop smiling when i look at it pics early next week
front gaurds back together with bagde's and Izuzu side lights, perfect fit doors back together with new lock mechanism's and new door hinges and had to put one on for a pic, they will have to come off again soon
That gray looks awesome! My first hilux 4x4 was that color (or close) and I'm debating painting my toyota "trailblazer" that color or flat black... Is that an OEM toyota color or just a gray that you liked?
