So I've got a hatchet hole in the outside of my tailgate(don't ask me), as well as a dent in the contour line. It's an 88 base model with the latches on the sides.

Does anyone make skins that fit this, with holes predrilled for latch fitment. I would hate to order a skin and not have it fit.
Or has anyone swapped in a handled tailgate? How would that work?

sounds like you're down with the clowns... anyways buy a skin have it welded up and drill the holes yourself.

If it was me I would probably cut out around the hatchet hole and weld in a new metal piece.

 

I might just give that a go before I buy a new skin, can grab some sheet metal out of a junkyard around here. thanks
