I recently notice oil leaking on the bottom where engine mounts with the tranny. I recently change the clutch and didn't notice any leak, but I'm guessing that it is leaking as I'm driving. Could this be the rear crankshaft oil seal? I thought it was the oil pan and resealed it but still leaking.

It could be the rear main seal on the crank, OR,,, front input shaft seal on the tranny, valve cover gasket, rear half moon seal on the head, egr bolt, several things that can leak oil and end up at the bottom of the bellhousing area. maybe it'll be something easy :)

THere is no leaking from the EGR or valve. I've already did those. The top end is clean, just the area I mention. I'll probly have to take apart to see what's going on. Hopefully it is not difficult to do.

    Gear oil

Gear oil has a distinctive smell. You will know if its engine oil or gear oil. Check oil level in trans.

No smell too. At the moment, I let out some oil. Seems like I put in a little more than I should have with my 5 quart jug oil change. will find out when the weekend comes.
