so back into the paint shop today .. and previously , we had decided to pull the front end apart for paint .. getting close now should be in Primer by the weekend .
so got my side sliders all "mocked" up today .. these windows have a real tendancy to leak bad .. so I wanted to fix this problem .. I believe I have i'm ready to pull it apart , tint the windows and put it back together for the final time . you can see all the info here Toyota Trekker - rebuilding original canopy windows .
did some tinting on the weekend .. side glass and back glass .. I can now start to assembel the side glass for "keeps" .
so still waiting for paint .. so I got the mud flaps "detailed" .. a quick clean , and a paint pen make them look new again .
If I give you lots of money and my truck, will you rebuild it for me? That's just awesome... wish I had the time, money, and skill do pull off half what you have done on that truck.
Thanks fellas .. and YES , I would , could and want . This is what my shop does . It wouldnt take 4 years like mine has , as I only get to do mine on weekends and evenings , but there is just about a year waiting list !! .
Man this has been the longest paint job in the world. Its been over a month now and i have yet to see the first coat go on. Where do you find these slow shop workers. First the carpet guy now the paint guy. I cant take it anymore. AAAWWWWWWWW . Oh ya keep up the good work
so CRAP !! I had some time today to stop the paint shop Truck is NOT primered , only the "extras" (now with some guide coat) I have a feeling i'm NOT going to make the fathers day show and shine !! .
it is in Primer now , and "guide coated" painter says it wont be long now I'm stoked .. looks GREAT !! .
so hood , doors , valance and rear hatch are all blocked and ready for some color the rest of the truck is in "progress" of blocking .. painter says she'll have some color late next week .
