I shaved the excess bolt towers and the sticker hump from a 20r cover on my truck. I have a metal cap one I'm gonna do up. Heres some pics. And here is the intake I did. I have a spare I'm gonna shave a bit smoother. And here is the green one on my old black 92. I used engine enamel spray paint. I'd like to powdercoat them next time.
It doesn't stay clean under the hood of mine too well. And I used the krylon spray over chrome stuff for the air cleaner. Its held up well on a steering wheel for years. lol.
Random cleanup tidbit. Go junkyarding for covers and save the old bolts. They fit on the master cylinder to booster bolts. Better than an open nut.
To both enemy and bigc your valve covers look sweet. Im diggin the green intake as well. Hey Bigc did you hand stripe that?
a little off topic, but whats the best way to clean the engine bay out quickly and good enuff to look neat at least mines filthy and heres my addition engines coming out this week for a scrubbin and paint and some minor fixes, got some good ideas though for colors here though thanks for postin pics fellas!!!

oh wow thats a big improvement did u leave most of the hoses and doo-dads in place when u washed it Joey? obviously wires and connectors should be covered or moved out the way. I hope the EPA isnt gonna be around for a week or two... hehe
thanks guys. bad part is the truck has been down for going on two years now. looks no where near that clean with two years worth of dust on it
