Halo Conversion... LOL

    thought id post up some pics of the job i did for these headlights. Far from professional but i buttoned it down as best i could. And i got a lil spray can happy and... well, dont laugh, ill be getting rid of the baby blue this week :D


    top unit is the halo, left one is stock

    had to make a cutout for the led wires grommet, and that was about the only thing i had to mod

    I used the side markers line to patch into for the leds, runs with parking/running lights

    these were like 35 or 40 bucks off of ebay, im pretty happy with the look, but wont know anything as far as how they will stand up to weather and crap.

    at 40 bucks for the pair if the get messed up just go with a new style or another set

    tru once these go im gone look at some HIDs id really like to get a set of real beamer halos and do a custom fit...

    22 all motor has been sporting these for almost a year now. Maybe he'll post up a year later report.

    LOL dang woulda rather helped out a fellow MT guy, and the ones i got have the plastic back half. but if i ever need replacements ill def hit u up buddy thanks

    IN-FOR-REPORT!

    Yeah, the only problem i have had is barely noticeable from a distance but one of the halo's has a burnt led in it...

    other than that, there pretty dam good! i get looks in the evening :D best time to show off the halo's!

    I need brighter ones though, :S

    nice bro thanks for the sitrep. i figured the led would be the prob, i didnt look at it too good but i had a crazy idea of putting in 2 diff colored leds in to give it a 2tone halo!!! that **** would be sick. but im not sure if you open it up to swap out led's if you could ever seal it well enuff again

    ps. if these last a year ill be happy for what i paid for em

    oh yea, 22, curious if you were able to find any blue colored main beam bulbs for them? i'd like some blue light over the white if possible

    One last thing...mind postin up a few pics of the projection pattern?? did the headlights basically reflect the light better, worse, or same??

    i tested the lights with a jumpbox hooked up to the neg n pos wires cuz my battery and alternator are both out at the moment cuz im pullin the engine out in a day or two, so i wouldnt get full brightness to see how the pattern is. they will def need to be adjusted though. Once i get the motor back in and everything together ill be happy to post up tho

    they made it where the LED is sealed inside the lamp? that was stupid of them!

    When I get the chance I can take a pic of my Halo lights on my truck. They're pretty bright!
