I ordered a pair of Slam Specialties SS-6 bags to replace the blown front bags on my truck, a new pressure switch (150 on/185 off), a full set(1/2 through 1/8) of npt reducers (for reference purposes), and a pair of 1/2 to 3/8 reducers for the new front bags. I wish I could hold off swapping the bags until it is time to replace the rest of the front end, but it will be kind hard to get the truck to the shop without front bags... :/ But I'm super stoked about these new bags! Next payday I'll be ordering a pair of tires for my 2 18's along with SS-7's for the back of the truck.

I removed all the rust from the chrome bumper to get read to put my clear corners and bumper lights on. I fixed an interior light that is behind the heater dials. That is about all, it was raining and hella cold.

Tore apart fuse box. Rewired main power cable to box since under the shrink wrap was 3 different sizes of wiring 12/6/4 gauge??? Rewired main power to starter and bought new terminals and ground wire. Hope like heck this helps cause all my fuses and relays look good.

spent $500 on a new cat plus labor with it raised a bit so it won't scrape on speed bumps new piping and an up pipe o2 sensor. All this to pass smog and to run a little smoother.

I had my ~200lb friend in the passenger seat and bad tires in the rear.

Got my mechanic/exhaust guy checking on some tires for me in either 225/40/18 or 215/35/18. which would you guys recommend for mercury moutaineer 18x7.5's??? Also, while showing off my truck to a buddy, went to start it, and it started fine, but about 5 seconds after starting, it shuddered and died. It ran fine last week, and now it dies about five seconds after starting each and every time. The gas pedal doesn't change anything. Any ideas?

As for tires 225/40 if you get them rubberband 35's you will hate life. Also its an SUV if you want low pro tires buy 20's and never plan on leaving cement. As for your truck dying about 10 things I can think of off the top my head. However I cant say anything without knowing if its carb vs fuel injection and have you done anything to the truck between then and now??
