stupid question!!

    i noticed my output shaft seal on my tranny is bad. i want to order a new one but i dont know if i have a w50 or w52 code tranny.:shrug: where do i find this info?

    I believe its on the vin. Try searching to see if anyone has posted info about the trans. Or wait til someone else chimes in

    On the metal plate under the hood, either on the drivers side fenderwell or firewall, should have trans/axle code number listed on it.

    I'm headed your direction next weekend. I've got a W50 out of my 78 complete with shifter, clutch fork and throw out bearing. $50 delivered. :D

    if this tranny is in good working order i might consider it. what day are you going to be up here? and like i said i dont know the diff between the two transmissions so is it a 5 speed?? let me know these details because you have sparked my interest!!!!

    I personally haven't driven the trans beings I got the truck with the most wasted clutch I've ever seen. The kid didn't have half a clue what he was doing and tried adjusting the slave instead of refilling the leaking master... :ROFL:


    All signs point to it being good, truck only had 138k on it when I bought it. It was in selah go figure...

    Yah the vin plate stamped or (decal) on the inside of your door should have it in the bottom right corner. wont say tranny *** but will plainly say w58 or such

    right on. well what day do u plan on being around here? if its day when im not busy i am probably going to be interested in that tranny. mine is a w50 so hopefully that tranny is good. i just moved to selah in february and there are a lot of dumbasses here. i hope i dont turn into one haha

    I'm headed through there either friday or saturday. Haven't figured that one out yet but I'm sure I will by the time I'm on the road. :lol:
