Didn't have any dynomatt, but it was not that hard to pull the carpet off. 4 bolts and 8 screws for the plastic rails and the entire thing came off. I might do it down the line.

As for the key ring light. its just 2 wires a Pos and a Neg. I just extended them to the fuse box and taped into the dome light wires. Now the key ring lights up when ever a door is open.


as for today's work on the truck, got the VSV and harness ready for installation for the AC to work just need the Idle up diaphragm on the carb to complete it.

 

Well all the interior parts are in paint & clear coat

 

Finally had a weather break & a few friends showed up to help block out.

 

The bed came off once again!
With the weather being what it is ,I will not make this years Danger Zone with my ride!
Hope to get paint shot in coming weeks & start putting back together.
Now shooting for Down To Earth Day in May!

You staying with the same two-tone color scheme or goin all that color?

 

It will be two tone,same color on top. All though the paint I used isn't available in Calif. any more. Same color in Omni,was PPG Deltron, met. radiant red #44472.
Planing on some flames @ the hood, front fenders & through the doors.Will be slight ghosting if I can get it right,white pearl/clear over the gray.And that is now darker with white pearl in it.Was light met. pewter.

Finally drove my truck after two days.
Inspect that u joint and damn is it gouging. Can't wait to order that new one and get her in!

 

adjusted my valves today, went for a semi long drive, had a great time cruising around!!

 

Gave her a detail and polish.

And I'm wondering if its worth it to swap over to the 60/40 seat I saw along with the tilt wheel steering column.

also installed the factory speaker boxes for the dash, made a huge improvement over the open air ones.

 

How hard is it to swap to tilt steering?

 

if i do it, i'm buying the entire steering column and shaft, then swapping it all over all my stuff.

 

nice door panels. did any of them come with speakers?
