Ok got it on the upper bracket... I meant the bag bracket on yhe Lca being in 1/2' from the top when laid out. As far as Z'ing goes... I'm not doing a Z. I don't have enough time to get all that done as well. Dropping motor mounts and triangulating the LCA's as well as clutch master relocation I dont really have time to do as this is my daily... Been down for 2 weeks so far and havent got alot accomplished.Tomorrow I should have more to show for it... Check my build thread...

Gotcha. It took me 5 weeks from start to finish. And I don't think mine is close to 1/2" (if you are talking from the lower bag mount to the upper bag mount). I built mine to lay 20's though, so there will be a bigger gap. Just make sure that the bag doesn't limit the travel if the mounts are too close. The minimum height of my RE6's is 2" if I remember correctly, and they have a built in bump stop.

Yea lol I understand. Problem is I type 2 fast and don't preview it... I meant the centerline of the upper mount is 1/2' father to the outside of truck from the centerline of lower mount when fully laid out. Meaning upper and lower bag mounts are center with each other at ride height instead of bag bulging outward. I can't find the damn post where I read that to begin with... I believe it was one of Seth's... Aha! Found it!

    Bagging the front

    See what I'm getting at?

Oh and minimum height on re6 is 2.9"' But I dont plan on setting the lower in 1/2'...Not necissary for me.

Minimum height of most bags is 3", slams are 2.9" last I checked. I set everything up at 3" I dont like to depend on internal stops.

Even if you misalign the bags 1/2" laid out, they dont end up totally parallel at ride height. And be careful doing this, you need to make sure the bag will clear and still compress all the way. The last bag setup I did on my own truck, I had the upper plate angled, and the lower mounting hole is slightly in front of the upper holes laid out. Not completely parallel. But I basically like to keep them in a good position at half travel. I think that is the most important part, because that is where my suspension spends most of its time.

And run shocks. Can't say this enough.

Didn't get as much done today as we planned because we are running into a handfull of questions...One of my questions is does it matter if the bag touches the upper plate when fully compressed? (pic below)

And also if you look in the pics the bag touches the inner balljoint bolt head as well. I need some help/advise... My fabricator says we shouldn't have the bag touching anything and he wants to cut up farther on the upper plate and use a 1/4' spacer. I've never seen that in any of the stuff I've looked at. I think we should be able to cut down the upper bag plate a little more as well...As it sits, It's spaced 1/2 away from the frame. Any help would be great, I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment cause I cant wrap my head around some of this simple stuff and I don't know anyone else who has done this before. It takes forever to get an answer on here because my posts sometimes fly under the radar... Any help as always is GREATLY appreciated.

Um, touching the bag plate is normal. I rounded the edges slightly where it made contact. But touching the ball joint bolt might be a no-no. for me it would depend on whether it would touch any other time than fully aired out and does it "just touch" or rub onto the bolt head. If it rubs, moves around on it at all, it could lead to a bubble in the bag, or worse.
