That sounds like a good idea. Can I borrow the motor for a little bit when you're done? Lol.

I've read up on this alot actually. You go down to DMV and ask for a paper I forget which one and you check the box for change of power to diesel then someone comes out and checks and makes sure it's diesel and they send you a new title. And if they ask for it be ref'd you should just take it to a different DMV cause you don't have to I guess. That's coming from others in CA tht have done it. Go to toyotadiesel.com

Or what you could all do is move to Idaho were our emissions standards are so lax you wouldnt have to do nothing to your truck but what you want. Megatherion if someone wants to lurk and be a nark let them cause all they got is user names hahah

Ya if you get pulled over and the cop asks you to pop the hood, and if he knows anything is not legal he can give you a fix it ticket that has to be signed off by a referee.

As far as I understand it you can not swap a diesel into a gas chassis that is subject to emmission testing legally in CA. The way to get around the big engine swap bs is to start with an original diesel VIN.

U CAN swap to a diesel since "they dnt pollute" as much as a gas engine.

And u can also run biofuel wit the diesel. And considering how much power u can get wit a diesel, id swap it and keep it in the truck
