The 12R soon to be ejected (not injected) for something a bit more interesting. Hopefully 2JZ, but if I can't get that approved I still have plenty of ideas

 

sheesh, those are some nice motors and covers in their own rights! That shaved one is the shiz! But that Blower is dope too!

If you are supplied with a valve cover what would you charge to do the oil cap setup? That is sick.

 

My engine I rebuilt a couple years ago for my big truck that my wife just put in her 89.







I dig the shaved valvecovers! I was planning on doing one up this weekend for the little truck. I gotta ask about that oil cap too, that is trick!

 

I see shaved polished VC's but no shaved polished intake manifold

What are you guys using to paint these? Any special kind of paint? Or will anything work

 

And how are you guys relocating the lines ontop of the valve cover. I have never liked the way it looks with the lines and valve things all over the top.

 

just removed them from the bracket and pushed them in between the intake manifold and valve cover

and i used duplicolor engine enamel

 

If I use high heat primer I can spray other stuff over it right? Cuz I saw where someone did tht an used candy over it. I want my frame to match my motor (Lexus silver) an don't want different looking silvers

 

yeah any paint should last, just make sure you prep it real good

 

Basically get all the grease off, scuff it clean it again. What else

 

thats basically it, i used acetone right before i painted, alcohol will work too, be sure to get in the corners good otherwise the paint will fish eye or bubble
