Thats a good start, toss a good sized cam in it with a header as well and it'll be decent. I had a 45 dceo side draft, header and 272 crane cam with a 20/22r backed by a W58 and it had great bottom/midrange but ran out of poop about 75. Aerodynamics are a bitch.

Don't forget to change your rear to at least a 4.11 but would suggest a 4.30. And also get a locker installed as well.

ya Im going with hooker headers i already have 2 1/2 exausht system =) im trying to find a side draft set up but everyone wants an arm and leg for them if i cant find one then i might just port the crap out of the 20R intake and run either a Weber 38 or a Holley 500

Weber 38 is fine for now if you can't afford the sidedraft setup. But, with the w58 trans you definately need a 4.11, 4.30, or 4.56 gearing.

yeah i know that the rear end will be my biggest issue im just not trying to be ghetto and weld the Diff when i can spend the same amount of time and effort and swap in a 8inch 4 runner rearend and use a supra LSD diff ... Work Smarter not harder lol

Some 87 trucks came with an 8" rear end so you might want to check that. Also, if you go to a junkyard there in Washington I'm sure you can find a gearing you would like and slap in a lock rite locker for 250 and you're good to go! Good luck!

88 2 wheeldrive V6 trucks will be 8" and any 1 ton 2 wheel drive will be as well. Find an 8" and I'll make ya a sweetheart deal on a lockrite. :D

+ a billion on deep gears with the w58. Its designed for a for a deep gear ratio with a torqey motor.

If you do swap to a 8" axle, get a rear end out of a pre 79. The width is right (later axles are like 2 inches wider). To use the supra LSD you need a "V6" (or turbo SR5 2wd) differential housing. (aka chunk)

The supra g code LSD wont fit into the common 4cyl 4wd differential housing. (problem I have now).

Now if you keep your F code (which would be fine!), find a Celica supra rear end. Pre 86 ones. they have 4.10-4.30 R&Ps and LSDs. They all bolt into your F code housing.

Go whip up on some hondas. I tore the azz out of my buddies B16 swapped EG hatch years ago when I had a basic hybrid. Torque wins over peak HP any day. Oh and buy good sticky drag radials if your serious.
