Dudevato, heres a few of the interior of Blew, not a whole lot to see inside it as its just a empty box, insulated, heated, 12v power, 110v power, CD, DVD, TV, GPS, Bluetooth, backup camera, visor monitors, and a bunch other stuff, [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] I'll add some of the 76 soon,,
Sick! I've never seen an interior shot before. Thanks Nook! btw- Does that thing have an 8 track player too?
I know I,m old, BYE, an 8 track? damn!!! no, no 8 track, I did have a am, fm, cassette in the dash originally, but I actually never had a cassette tape play in it, so I took it out and went old school and put the original AM,FM radio back in it, I do have an MP3 player I can play through the FM when I need to rock..
Wow! I've never seen the interior of either. One question though, is that a signature on the dash of Blew?
Aw!! ya noticed, yeah it is, actually both of them have a signature on the dash. Years ago I started researching these old Chinooks, gathering whatever info and history I could find about them. In my searching I came across the fellow who actually designed and built them for Toyota, we became good friends over the years and he got a kick out of what I had done and approved of the improvements, so he autographed both of them, sorta a seal of approval, hand signed by the original designer.
ok, where do I place my order! I wonder why these never caught on? 4x4, Camper, Toyota reliability...?
Thanks guys, The 4x4 part wasn't original, they never built them 4wd, there were a few back in the day that were converted by dealers using the Wolverine conversion kits of the day, but both of mine I built, did the 4x4 conversion using all toyota running gear.
The blue one looks like some West coast custom NOPI stuff going on. Love the gauges that thing looks modern as heck inside. Id roll it round town for sure. Interior of both are awesome, we should all buy some nooks. Very nice man
very cool... very nice work...love it i saw a stock Chinook last summer, looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor...talked to the guy for a minute or two, took a look inside and decided i wanted one,too...had forgotten all about it til i saw this thread...now i want one again
