Anyone know of a cap that will fit a 1974 hilux? I don’t have the owner’s manual in front of me with the bed dimensions, but are they the same as the 84-95 bed?

    Thanks

Is there a preferred term for such items or just razzing me?

    Thanks

No problem man, some good natured sh*t giving is what forums are all about. And really I don’t care for the term “truck cap” myself but I though if I called it a camper top then I would get info on these.

Though that would be pretty cool.

I was wondering if anyone could give me the length of the bed rails and the width of the bed of a 73/74 short bed. As i Wont have access to the 74 for a week or two.

    Thanks

Also keep in mind that the curvature of the back window/back of the cab plays a part in fitment.

El Dorado Jim: Thanks for the measurements, I suspect they will come in handy.

DELTA 9 ½: Sure pop a couple of pictures of the topper, what stuff is it in need of? Guessing you are along the Mississippi somewhere, so yes shipping could be a problem. I did find a local dealer that says he can get a new on so I guess it all comes down to price of shipping/repair Vs. price of a brand new unit.

    Thanks for all the help!

it will ned a rear door w/ pistons, screens (for side windows) and a way to get it on your truck(bolts, clamps) its got a front boot with good rubber for a cab rear window.

im in Comyfornia so its a was to there...id bank on a new one if it too much for mine.
