Just wondering if anyone has ever put a K&N x-stream filter on their engine or has seen it??? if so how does it look and is it wirth it
I've only seen one. Not installed, but on ebay... I would like one too... only thing stopping me is my empty wallet and low-paying job...
it is a x stream air filter..well is just the top, i put it on my k&N filter i had. mill, i wont mind sellin it since i will probly never us it, well atleast not anytime soon. the truck has sidedrafts and the MC is FI so.. u need the whole setup?
sorry if i was blunt.. do u need all three parts. if im going to sell it, i want to sell the whole thing..
oh.... lol. what is the whole setup? the things in the pic. if so just wonderin what the other two parts other than the filter are???
here is the "whole" setup. its the top (x stream) middle (K&N filter) and bottum (base that sits on carb) Here is the "whole" setup assembled Here is a pic of how tall (roughly 3 1/2" tall)
it will mount, that is if u have the adaptor on the carb already, by this i mean it takes the "square" part and makes it round..if so yes. but just measure the under side of ur air filter to make sure
Does anybody know if you can get an extreme top to work on a factory air cleaner assy? I know that the center bolt is off center and you mite be able to plug the exsiting hole and drill a new off center hole but is there any other restrictions? I was thinking of doing this myself but spending all that money to find out it was a waist would be a drag.
hmm, let me get this straight, u want to use the bottum part of ur stock assembly and put a K&N filter with and x-treme filter on top..is this ur question?
Yeah in my city cops have the right to inspect your truck if it looks or sounds modified, they first start of with a "PC" probable cause such as tinted side windows or lights, to low, to high, no front lic plate, then it turns into pop yor hood, and most sheriff's out here are as smart as first year mechanics and can spot mods pretty fast, if you dont have a valid EO# that they can find on thier comp, you better be able to fix it fast, the same goes for rolling smog stations, cool thing is most of my mods are internal, or EO'ed. I'm just choking the motor right now.
Wow... that sucks! We don't have issues like that in Elsinore, but then again, I see more Hondas getting pulled over than anything else! They like to show off their only modifications... mufflers, and become a cop magnet!
