My truck was driving just fine and i let it sit for a few days with out driving it and when i got back into it this weekend to drive it decided not to start. My 22re seems to crank fine but when it is about to start it half ass starts and putts but doesnt ever start. I thought it could be gas issue but i put new gas in, cleaned the cap and rotor and removed the air filter to make sure it wasnt plugged. I have not been able to check plugs because i am by myself. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Check if the fuel pump is actually pumping.

    Fuses.

Go back to basics, air, fuel, spark.

Make sure you didn't put the wrong kind of fuel in it, like that flex fuel stuff.

OK You cleaned cap and rotor when? A few weeks ago or just now when you found out it wouldnt run? Make sure the nut that holds the rotor on is there and tight!! Make sure all your plug wires are in correct spot and the wire that goes to ignitor is tight as well. Your truck would still run if the plugs were fouled or dirty but yah make sure you have spark atleast. If you fiddled with your air filter make sure its plugged in and the pipes are all tight as well! Ive had plug wire boots split on me before and they arc on the other wire making it run really rough or dying. As mentioned by another member FUSES. If all this small stuff is 100% legit then maybe something larger but old vs new gas would still RUN just really rough even if one of the injectors was semi plugged up.
