So about once every few weeks my truck won't start.. Turn the ignition and it clicks and there's a very faint whistle sound.. Now at this point sometimes if I slam the clutch pedal in it may start up.. Or I can leave and it may start up 10 minutes later or an hour later.. Depends on whatever it feels like doing I guess.. Obviously it will start with a jump start.. I've been told the starter is good, battery is good and the alternator is good.. I just did a tune up so the plugs etc. are also fine.. I took it to a shop one time to have it checked but it actually started all week for them so they didn't know what to work on.. It's an '86 fuel injected.. Thanks for any help!
Sounds like maybe a loose ground or check the little clip an main line going to the starter make sure they are all tight and on there. When the truck doesn't want to start have someone inside the truck trying to start it and you go up front an try moving around the wires to find thevloose conection.
